AbstractAung Lan - Kyauk Pa Daung -Than Bu La road project is a pilot project where located in Aung Lan Township, Tha Yet District. The road connects to Yangon, Pyay, Magway, and Mandalay Road owned by DOH. Magway Regional construction team, DRRD, DHO NPT construction team have executed this project during 2020-2021 budget year with total estimated cost 3.95 million USD. As the project was implemented during COVID-19 pandemic and the construction team has faced many challenges like high cost and construction delay. The major situation faced during COVID-19 were travelling and transportation restriction, township, and border trade lock down, 21 days /14 days quarantine and high death rate and infection. Due to this situation, it has negatively impacted construction schedule. Therefore, the project team has applied recovery management by using arrange team meeting (online with HO), reassign responsibility, material recovery plan, multi transportation route, labor recovery plan, prevention of COVID-19, training program. But, the project has failed to meet its original schedule and it has used an additional 3 months to complete the entire of the construction road and bridge. This is the first time for construction teams to execute the project during COVID-19 pandemic and many lessons have been learnt from the project.
