| Abstract | The development of road infrastructure is related to national competitiveness and is of vital importance to the country's socio-economic situation. Road construction projects consume large amounts of money and is affected to political, economic, social, and project risks, which often result in cost overruns and schedule delays. Roads in Myanmar are the most underdeveloped condition among ASEAN countries. Ministry of Construction is mainly responsible for construction and maintenance of roads, bridges and building. Nowadays, Ayeyarwaddy Region has a remarkable development in the road networks which can access in any season implemented by the State and the regional governments and transportation is a vital role to develop this region. More projects for road networks have to be implemented and planning, monitoring and controlling for time and cost schedule is very important to finish as per targeted schedule in the project implementation. The purpose of this study is to analyze road construction project cost and schedule plans relative to subsoil conditions. To successfully plan and manage a project, it is essential to evaluate between final and planned performance and provide feedback for future similar projects. Scheduling is determining the time and sequence of activities within a project to indicate an overall completion time. Project planning is the process of choosing a method and sequence of work and applying it to different methods and sequences of execution. The construction schedule should be reviewed and analyzed to determine if it is reasonable and complete. By monitoring and controlling of the construction schedule, the review and analysis indicates a problem and the estimated activity duration or project plan must be revised. For the successful implementation of road construction projects, development frameworks have to be specified and more plans should be added. More detailed delivery plans putting in the material planning, machine maintenance plans, the machine planning and pre-collecting workers and making contract plans for manpower planning should be modified as the development framework. |
