| Abstract | Project management is the use of specific knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to deliver something of value to people. In order to ensure that the agreed upon activities result in the appropriate products or services to meet customer expectations, project management provides structure and control over the project environment. To achieve the stated goals, projects are temporary structures that must be properly managed and controlled. Typically, they are carried out in a setting where competition and limited funding and resources exist. This report is prepared for the practice of project management especially project cost and schedule management with the case study. It shows how the Department of Rural Road manages in all project stages and how to plan cost and schedule of the budget. Furthermore, it also discusses the control and monitoring system of the project and recovery management of the risks. It also demonstrates the strength, weakness and recommendation to improve the current management system. In developing countries, there are still several requirements and weakness to improve in order to achieve the international standard. This report will be a great help to analyze the current practice and to share the knowledge for future reference. |
