AbstractThis report contains the description of four road project cases from different departments, overview of tendering and estimating for road projects in Nay Pyi Taw council region, deep analysis of tendering and estimating of these four cases, discussion on tender problem and estimating of these four cases and recommendation for improvement. In this project, government use two envelopes system and least cost selection method (L.C.S) in tender selection. These report discuss the effect of this evaluation method on these four cases. Creating a good accurate estimate is the critical competency of contractor in winning contract in lease cost selection method. Carefully investigation of site, past experience data, seasonal material fluctuating rate and risk analysis are major input for creating accurate estimate. Carefully understanding of the requirements of tender documents and selecting appropriate project to bid can increase the bid-hit ratio for contractor. The first part of this report contains the general overview of the project, second part contains exploring useful theory to apply these project, third part contain the project description and deep analysis of project and final part contains the conclusion and recommendation of this project.
