| Abstract | In Myanmar, both of Ministry of construction and construction companies have vulnerable points which usually occur defects whether it is huge or tiny defects in every part of construction works. Therefore, the author decided to study total quality management analysis of quality defects and causations in three building construction projects from Myanmar to find out how to solve construction defects in this report. Firstly, the author observed various defects and causations from investigated construction works such as floor tiling, brick wall construction, painting work, door and window work, roofing, water system, stair construction work, toilet work and concreting work occurred to all three projects. Secondly, she explored project quality management about plan, method, process, supervision, raw material management, workers, subcontractors, inspection, quality acceptance and quality defect management to know how to manage within the companies. Thirdly, she made analysis tables and ranked gradings to find out causations which can be fromthe biggest to the smallest problem in Myanmar. Fourthly, she approached total quality management framework by using Juran’s philosophy for the construction work. Finally, she gave recommendations and solutions what would be happened if companies applied TQM framework to be better about quality management system for near future of Myanmar. |
