AbstractThroughout my career, I have been working and encountering a variety of work cultures. From the professionalism of Western Culture to the respectful & friendly type of work environment in the Easten culture. Each of the styles give me different experience in my working style, and it has been a great journey for me to understand the similarity and differences among the cultures. However, no matter of alternatives in perspective, we all agree that quality control is the key to success in the construction industry. It is vital to have good quality control system in our company and people need to participate in the quality management system as much as they can The quality control has become more crucial in Vietnam construction sector since Vietnam’s government open for foreign investment. Ever since, Japan has become one of the spearhead investors in Construction Sector. The advance of management helps them to become the top 5 of construction contractor in Vietnam ever since. Also, the quality control system of Japanese has been popular due to the success of many projects they had constructed. The study is focus on the quality management system of Japanese contractor in Vietnam and how they implement the system to control the outcome of the product throughout the time. The case study is according to personal experience from MUFG and SGV project of OVC, where the advantage of quality control system and management system assisting engineer to complete the work with required standards and satisfied customer’s need. The main purpose of this research is to figure out what are the major advantage that put Japanese contractor above other competitor in Construction sector in Vietnam. Secondary purpose, to analyze the strength and weakness of Japanese contractor system and provide recommended solution for further development. Lastly, to propose a framework of quality control based on the quality management system of Japanese contractor that could fit the capability of other company.
