| Abstract | An experimental study was conducted to measure water particle velocity under surface waves. The video system which can record and reproduce the position of the neutrally buoyant floater which is believed to trace the motion of water particle under waves was used in the measurement. The results obtained from the measurement were compared with the values derived from the calculation of the existing wave theory, in this case, the Stokes wave theory. |
