| Abstract | An equation was derived describing both the laminar and turbulent flow of a fluid, through a homogeneous and isotropic porous medium. This generalized equation was used to analyse the flow into a trench. The solution to this problem was obtained by performing a numerical solution of the generalized flow equation which was expressed in finite difference form. Computations for the numerical solution were performed on an IBM 1620 computer. |
