| Abstract | This thesis is an analysis of different water uses in East Pakistan. An investigation has been made to determine the magnitude, distribution, and growth rate of water requirements for agriculture, hydro-electric power production, municipal water supply, water quality control, navigation and fish life. In addition, the aspects of flood control and land reclamation were also investigated. The combined water requirements were compared with available natural flow and storage volumes were assessed to meet the total demand from several possible locations of off-stream reservoirs. |
