Abstract | The study is an attempt towards a better understanding of creep behaviour and its relation with the variation in microstructure of the hardened cement paste. The influence of temperature in the matter has been investigated. Creep is found to increase with the elevation of temperature. Considerable scattering of results confine their interpretation to only the few with definite and consistent pattern. The interlayer portion has been found to decrease with the increase in temperature. A mechanism involving the expansion of the interlayer space was proposed. |
