AbstractE-waste management has appeared as a challenge in urban cities around the world. However, in the rural areas, there are also E-waste sorting communities. They are the unurbanized area of the rural people with the importing the enormous E-waste from the urban area in sorting for income. According to Dangyai Subdistrict, challenges from the impact of E-waste indicate the issue in environment and health. The study looked up to define the actor, organizations and policies including the relation of socio economic and knowledge factors toward the state of collaborative governance with their performance. The results were in terms of investigate the advantages and barriers of the collaboration of the stakeholders. As the methodology, we use questionnaires survey and semi-structured interviews from the stakeholders who join the collaboration which are 88 and 30 respondents respectively. With using regression analysis in defined relationships between variables including coding the data from interview to define the reasons and barrier behind.In terms of result, the social and knowledge factors showed positive relation with the collaboration dynamics. Meanwhile, performance of collaborative governance be plus affected from the collaboration dynamics from the output which are MOU and SAO services. Nevertheless, external: remoteness of the area, absence of direct laws and policies and internal: mistrust, absence of opinions, absence of key stakeholders, lack of effective enforcement and impact assessment constraints have a negative effect on the efficiency of the performance of collaborative governance. For policies recommendations enforcing laws and policies that based on different contexts of E-waste management in each state is significant. Including budget support and knowledge to create appropriate E-waste sorting for large and small enterprises.While creating collaborative governance in rural areas, having communication technology, and listening to the problems of all key stakeholders is necessary. While appropriate budget and technology will be factors that can solve and change the situation in a sustainable way.
