AbstractThe rapid advancement of technology has led to a significant increase in electronic waste generation worldwide. In Thailand, the lack of robust e-waste management policies and practices poses a significant environmental and health challenge. The study aims to evaluate the current state of electronic waste management in Saen Suk Municipality, assess community awareness and perceptions, and evaluate the effectiveness of existing management practices. By understanding these factors, the study seeks to identify barriers and opportunities for improving electronic waste management in the municipality. Electronic waste encompasses a wide range of discarded electronic devices, each containing valuable metals and hazardous substances. Improper disposal of electronic waste can lead to environmental pollution and health risks. To address this issue, it is crucial to understand consumer attitudes and behaviors towards electronic waste. This study examines factors influencing consumer decisions regarding e-waste disposal, such as awareness, knowledge, and perceived barriers. In Saen Suk Municipality, a lack of awareness about proper electronic waste disposal is a significant challenge. Despite the presence of designated waste bins, community members often dispose of general waste in these bins, indicating a lack of understanding and participation in waste management practices. By analyzing the current state of electronic waste management in Saen Suk Municipality, this research identifies opportunities for improvement. It explores the effectiveness of existing collection and disposal systems, as well as the role of public awareness campaigns in promoting sustainable electronic waste management practices. Ultimately, this study seeks to contribute to the development of effective policies and strategies to mitigate the environmental and health impacts of electronic waste in Thailand.
