Abstract | It is so difficult for R.K Marble to work out the thorny problems of recruitment for a foreign company in the mountainous and remote area, difficulties in geography, poor infrastructure and low education level. Therefore, setting up an appropriate procedure and policies on recruitment is vital and important. This must be done based on employment need of the company and features of labor market so that policies and solutions are not only accordance with the aim of recruitment but also with labor market features.Through analysis and preliminary survey in labor market for the need to work in Yen Bai, rate of laborer wishing to work in general and job seeker for manager position in particular is so low. There are just few people accept to work there with some demands on accommodation, traveling and salary must be much higher than in Hanoi. To recruit staffs and experienced managers especially who are fluent in English is much difficult. This is the problem of recruitment and human resource management in the future. Recruiting workers for mining and processing plants is not as difficult as recruitment for manager and office staffs. However, proper personnel policies, training skills, disciplines and culture of foreign managers for the worker is also vital and important. This is because most of local laborers in this area are farmers and from minority groups with low education level and many backward customs. To attract them specially managers and staff from Hanoi or other cities by interesting recruitment advertisement with appetizing company picture and full provided conditions as high salary, other benefit, accommodation, transportation is one solution which is suggested in this research. The other solutions are setting up lower recruitment criteria in comparison with requirements of company in order to draw more applicants, and recruiting very good candidates for important positions. |
