Abstract | In the current Schindler’s sales report, commodity elevator is the product line that contributes the most profit to company. Every year, three model 3300, 3100, 3600 of commodity group bring revenue value about 30% - 35% but they contribute 50% - 55% of Sales profit. In addition, low- and midrise-building segments are forecasted an increase of 15% – 20% year-by-year which means this market demand for commodity elevator is very high and promises a high return for the investment. As a new sales representative of commodity elevator, I would like to conduct a research about this special product segmentation and how to increase its sales volume to gain more market share in this segmentation. This project is not only an introduction of commodity elevator that I take responsibility, it’s also to analyze the current open issue that the company has not yet gained the sustainable market share. This research would apply the PESTEL and SWOT analysis to understand the impact of both external and internal factors to the industry as well as the business division. Furthermore, the market analysis and internal data would support the understanding the successful business sectors as well as the un-successful sectors that decide the win or lost status of a project. Through those impacts, the research would be able to provide recommendations and solutions to increase the company capabilities to increase its profit by increasing sale volume. |
