Abstract | This thesis analyzes the current business operations of HOA PHAT, a company engaged in steel manufacturing industry, with a particular focus on its export-driven activities. As environmental, social, and governance expectations rise across international markets, companies like HOA PHAT must adapt to ensure compliance and competitive advantage. This research evaluates HOA PHAT's preparedness to meet increasing global demands for sustainability, focusing on key ESG components: carbon footprint reduction throughout the supply chain, governance improvements, responsible procurement practices, labor and workplace safety. The study examines HOA PHAT's existing policies and practices through the lens of global ESG practice and trends, EU regulatory frameworks, and best industry standards.A combination of document analysis and stakeholder interviews provides insights into how HOA PHAT can better align its operations with evolving ESG requirements in its target export market EU.The goal is to propose business solutions that will help HOA PHAT strengthen its ESG performance, enhance its competitiveness, and ensure long term sustainability in a dynamic global marketplace. |
