Abstract | Laboratory testing techniques for determination of strength properties of rocks has been extensively reviewed, This includes the testing techniques used, in the determination of strength of rocks under uniaxial compression, uniaxial tension, triaxial compression, direct shear, and in the indirect determination of tensile strength. A series of tables summarizing the literature review is prepared. The results of the investigation is presented as a proposed laboratory manual for rock testing to be used by engineering geology and rock mechanics students, in the senior undergraduate and Masters degree level, |
