Abstract | A thorough analysis of lithologic logs of ground water wells in Bangkok area was carried out by using a systematic correlation procedure based on matching technique utilizing a series of computer programs in order to delineate the stratigray of Bangkok subsoils. Several east-west and north-south stratigraphic cross sections were established and through a detailed analysis of these cross sections, three partially separated sand layers were identified within first 150 m depth. Trend surfaces were fitted to establish trends associated with top and bottom surfaces and were used to analyze thickness variation of each sand layer. Finally, a table giving a detailed description of sand layers was prepared. |
