AbstractAid of a microcomputer to a construction project manager for project planning and scheduling is investigated. A microcomputer system model of project scheduling and updating is developed. The model consists of many modular programs which are used for network computation, resource requirement scheduling, cash flow analysis, and purchasing scheduling. A sample project is illustrated to show input and output of the model. A comparison of results of the sample project scheduling and updating by a microcomputer with those by a manual procedure is made, and shows that project scheduling and updating by a microcomputer is quicker, easier, and more economical.
