AbstractThis thesis describes an attempt to design a computerized information subsystem for the Bureau of the Budget of Thailand information system which is currently a manual system. The selected subsystem is the "Budget Analysis by Project" subsystem whose tasks are to support information for micro-analyzing budget and costs for the initiation, operation, and evaluation of government projects. "Budget Analysis by Project" is a process of supplying relevant information summarized at the project level for budget analysis procedures. Included in the study are the steps to design the information subsystem in general. First, a desirable set of output data is presented. The output thus determines whether the available input data are sufficient or extra input data are required, then a group of required input data as well as its sources are described. Next, a structure of logical files is presented to show the organization of data as well as their relationships. The documentation technique - HIPO - is employed to explain some maintenance guidelines for the selected data items.
