| Abstract | This study covers the specific information system of a small assembly plant in Malaysia. It involves identification of the problems related a framework for supporting the future information ,system on a microcomputer. The design factors are based on the peculiarities of the production system under study, logical data relationships and processing efficiency, minimal storage and transportability of the system. Input documentation, processing
and output documentation requirements are covered. The study includes trial implementation of the proposed system on an IBM 3031 at the Regional
Computer Center at the Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok. |
