AbstractThis study was conducted to estimate the steady periodic inside air temperature fluctuations over a period of 24 hours ( a day) in confined poultry house under condition of sunnier weather. Fourier series was used to formulate the mathematical model to predict the diurnal structure temperature fluctuations for a given environment and given dimension of poultry house. Meteorological data such as outside air temperature, relative humidity and wind speed on hourly basis were taken from Suweon, Korea, recorded during August, 1979. Inside air temperature fluctuated from 73.6°F (23.1°C) to 87.l°F (30.4°C) on the basis of relation between outside and inside air temperature, and fluctuated from 73.4°F (23.0°C) to 87.1°F (30.6°c) on the basis of periodic state. The average inside temperature was 80.2°F (26.8°C) which were same in both cases.
