Abstract | An appropriate equation is sought which is then used to solve for friction coefficient, eddy viscosity, shear stress, and concentration profiles. It is found from the study that the exponential law can apply well instead of logarithmic law . The velocity , eddy viscosity, and sediment con centration profiles can fit the data very well. In this study, the exponential velocity parameters are firstly obtained, the eddy viscosity profile is then derived from the velocity profile and finally the sediment concentration profile is then obtained by using the eddy viscosity profile . The unique relationship between ' n ' and ' f ' for f low of clear water, K = 0.4 and in the presence of sediment suspension is also obtained from this study . |
