AbstractIn this study, the effectiveness of the three-party Professional Construction Management approach as a viable alternative for the procurement of constructed facilities has been investigated. The case chosen for the study is the Central Plaza Project, Bangkok, a Baht 2 ,000 million project. Various aspects starting from the conceptual stage to the present, which is barely four months from expected completion, have been discussed. Emphasis has been laid on the special construction system selected, i.e., slipforming and floor decking of a 26- storeyed tower block and the control system adopted toensure completion of the project within a stringent time schedule.
