Abstract | This thesis presents the development of the Ramkamhaeng Book Store Information System (RBSIS). The existing system is studied and analyzed, problems are identified, requirements of the Book Store Management are studied, and finally the new system is designed to satisfy the requirements. RBSIS can be divided into four subsystems : printing, stock, selling, and accounting. the new system stores the records of of books and goods, produces daily, weekly, monthly, termly, and yearly reports, and occasionally interim reports are published for specific purposes. This study uses the technique of structured design and hierarchy plus input-process-output (HIPO) throughout the design. The new RBSIS is designed to run on a microcomputer system. The structure of all files is designed based on the relational concept. Programs in this system are divided into three types according to their functions : file creation, update, and report generation programs. Since there is no computer system in the Ramkamhaeng Book Store at the time of this study, The pseudocode of all programs is given for ease of future development. |
