Abstract | Materials Requirements Planning approach has been widely accepted in manufacturing industries to determine when and how much to order and items as well as components. MRP approach finds out the answers to these queries by adjusting among Master Production Schedule , bill of material , capacity constraint and inventory situation. Under similar conditions and constraints , an aggregate production planning model has been developed to give optimal answer to those queries for single end item having several components. In addition the model incorporates important objectives like profitability and smooth labor relations. |
