AbstractThis study was directed to obtain specific information to aid in the decision making process or a company distributing alcoholic beverages. Taste testing was done using three brands of alcoholic beverages x, I and z. Two of the brands of alcoholic beverages tested were being distributed by the company concerned. Bangkok was taken to represent Thai land. A sample survey was conducted with personal interviews aided by a preset questionnaire. It was found that brand X was the least preferred of the three in all respects. Brand Z was preferred for packaging. It was also noted that brand preference was independent of age, income and ethnic origin of the 96 respondents interviewed. Nothing much could be said about t he preference between brands Y and z. Simple statistical tests were used to make inferences and they worked quite well .
