AbstractThe lowly developed Kham-Thale-So Agricultural Co-operative is located in Nakorn Ratchasima Province and Muang Rayong Agricultural Co-operative is located in Rayong Province. Most of the members have a low household income and they are lowly educated. Their level of satisfaction in terms of co-operative activities and the benefits that they have received from the cooperative are high. They also display a high level of satisfaction with the board of directors and other persons in their co-operatives. The members of Muang Rayong Agricultural Co-operative revealed a better knowledge and more positive attitudes as compared to Kham-Thale-So. This research has ; recommended that there should be more frequent training and 'monitoring of results with the emphasis on structure, rights u responsibility, meaning and objectives of the co-operative There should be better media coverage to explain these aspects o Training of capable local leaders should be done on a rotation basis. Further research is needed to touch on the role of housewives as confidantes of their husbands and the critical conditions to start a co-operative should be studied.
