Abstract | The analysis in this study is directed at examining the
effect of fuel prices, the level of economic activity, and
vehicle stocks on the quantity of fuel demand in the road
transportation sector in Thailand, using a linear logarithm
model. The results show that both premium and regular gasoline demand are price elastic and highly substituted by each other. High speed diesel demand is shown to be less price elastic than gasoline but more elastic to the level of economic activity, LPG demand is affected by the high speed diesel price rather than the gasoline price.
