Abstract | The purpose of this research is to improve the understanding of concept green design in urban planning, in another meaning is sustainable development in urban planning and how to have a framework for sustainable urban planning management. This report proposed the UN-Habitat theory including 5 principles is a basic foundation for urban sustainable development planning in the case study of Urban Planning of New Residential Area in Phuoc Thien Commune, Nhon Trach District, Dong Nai Province. This theory provides specific definitions, suggested data, attributes, and rules for each principle. By using Step by step urban planning approach to build a practical planning. The approach is based on three steps: survey and analysis data at site, make an urban planning and implementation. The resulting of this urban planning can then be used as input for further research. Based on the evaluating of the case study above, I would like to analyze the strengths, weaknesses and give recommendations to set up a framework for sustainable urban planning management. The proposed framework based on the pre-selection principles is limited to be become Green Design Code in urban planning. To do this, more extensive research is required. |
