Abstract | This paper is concerned with the development of a computer based planninQ and control model to manaQe the maintenance overhaul of a thermal power oeneration unit. Because of the similarity in work, the discussed procedures will also be applicable to other types of power oeneratinQ units . With a view to minimize overhaul duration, an extensive study is carried out o n the impact of resources on project completion time. The dynamic nature of the project is studied throuoh simulation techniques, and control procedures to halt project slippaQe is presented. To facilitate micro-computer u sage the mai n project is disintegrated into sub-projects. The effect on efficient planning and control due to analysis on sub-project basis is also investigated. |
