Abstract | The aim of this research is to analyze workplace spirituality, burnout and performance of constructional professional in states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. This study discusses the mediating role of burnout in the relationship between workplace spirituality and burnout. The data is collected by distributing questionnaire to construction professionals who have at least one year working experience in states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana of India. Altogether, 309 valid questionnaires were used for the analysis purpose after filtering The study found that the burnout of the construction professionals in states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana was slightly high, it was found that the workplace spirituality of the construction employees in states of Andhra Pradesh and was moderate and it was found that the performance of the construction professionals was moderate. The findings from path analysis suggested that there was a significant very strong positive relationship between the workplace spirituality and the performance of constructional professionals, significant moderate negative relationship between the workplace spirituality and the burnout of construction professionals and significant weak negative relationship between the burnout and the performance of construction professionals. The study also found that burnout has partially mediated the relationship between workplace spirituality and performance of construction professionals. It is very necessary to study the Workplace spirituality, Job burnout and Performance of construction professionals, with a view to thereby improving performance by considering workplace spirituality and burnout. |
