Abstract | Forecasting demand or customer orders nay employ various techniques covering either time series or causal modeling approaches. In this study estimates of demand for different product categories were made using Brown ' s One-Parameter Exponential Smoothing, Autoregressive/Integrated/ Moving Average .modeling approaches and regression naanalysis based on composite index of economic indicators of Thailand for a causal model . No distinctive superiority can be .made between approaches. It may be considered promising approaches that could be applied in the context of a wire rope manufacturing plant. |
