AbstractInteractive microcomputer programs (WYE Irrigation Game Program) as modified in this thesis may be used in operation and maintenance of an irrigation systems. At first the program can only be applied for three irrigation areas and seven kind of crop, by changing the program language from Standard Basic into Microsoft QuickBASIC, them modified later. In this study the program has been applied using the data based on information from the Widas Irrigation Sub Project under Brantas River Basin Project, East Java, Indonesia. This type of irrigation system consist of one system with 16 structures, 5 irrigation areas and 7 kind of Crops. The general idea of this program is to maximize farmer's net income for every irrigation area. Due to many variable input data (parameters), the Random Search Method has been applied in this study. This program finds one maximum value which has a high probability of being the best value from the experiment . The computer programs are written in Microsoft QuickBASIC version 4.5
