AbstractThe geostatistical approach to the estimation of hydrogeologic parameters in groundwater modelling was applied for Sukhothai groundwater basin in North of Thailand. The random fields of parameters of the aquifer were modeled by analytical semi- variograms models. For the purpose of groundwater modelling study, the parameters, such as permeability, sand thichness and piezometric head were estimated by kriging technique. The estimates proved to be reliable and realistic. The measurements of accuracy associated with the kriged estimates are also provided through kriging standard deviations.
