AbstractOccupational safety in many fields of work, including construction as a hazardous field, receives special attention from many governments and both national and international concerned organizations because it affects human life. Many studies on safety in construction have been done in different countries with differently emphasis. This study has special emphasis on high-rise building construction in Indonesia. The reasons for this emphasis are that high-rise building has specific risk related to occupational accidents and the last few decades have become the high-rise building era in Indonesia. With this emphasis, this study discusses Indonesian Government regulations on safety, the Manpower Social Insurance as IndonesiaQ Government special insurance programme which can not be separated from safety programme, and some matters related to safety programme implementation.
