AbstractThe large and complicated lignite handling system of Mae Moh Mine requires efficient management to operate it in order to economically satisfy the demand of the power plants. Along with a steady increase in electricity demand by the industrial, commercial and residential sectors, an appropriate system of expansion planning should be done carefully to make sure that the capacity of the system can support demands in the near future. The producibility is developed to measure the performance of the existing system, and is calculated by the maximum flow models under many working situations. And the Goal Programming is also used for optimal operation scheduling. From the producibility calculation under the same deterministic maintenance schedule, the flow with no constraint gives the maximum producibility, while flow with non-repeated node and equal arc capacity gives the minimum average cost of flow per .ton of coal. An optimum operation schedule can be obtained from the proposed model under any given working situation. Interaction between users and programs can be performed without changing the main structure of the program when the working conditions are changed.
