AbstractThis study is done to design better layout of the raw materials storage space in Thai Engineering :product Co., Ltd located in Navanakorn Industri al Estate. There are more than one hundred parts stored in this warehouse to serve the need of 42 production lines in two machining plants in this company. There is no certain kind of arrangement done by this company in this existing warehouse. The existing layout is found to be inefficient, so the rearranging in this warehouse is necessary to be done. Three proposed layouts are generated based on the data collected in the company. The performance of each proposed layout is evaluated using its value of total expected travel distance. The proposed layouts with the smallest total expected travel distance is recommended to be used by the company.
