Abstract | Video games are an integral part of both the entertainment industry and the everyday life of people around the world. Its popularity is increasing every year among all age group. It can also be a valuable asset in an effort to educate and collaborate teenagers and young adults, who prefer learning through programs that they can control (Corriveau & Shi, 2010). Video games have great positive potential in addition to their entertainment value, there has been considerable success when games are designed to address a specific problem or teach a cer- tain skill (Griffiths, 2002). This paper/thesis focuses on development of multi-platform Multiplayer First Person Shooter (FPS) game intended to increase collaboration between users. We review the design, devel- opment process and technologies used in development of the game. Each piece of technology is discussed according to its usage and functionality. |
