Abstract | As capstone project, I made a project named plotclock. Plockclock is a mini machine that can write recent time and temperature when we talk. There is a voice recognizer to record the commands. Everyone can talk the instructions and it will work. But the commands are limited. It writes the time and temperature with marker pen on the acrylic. There are three servos. Left and Right servos control the links to write numbers. Lifting servo make the pen up and down. After writing time or temperature, it also erase by itself. There is also LED for lighting when dark. It writes the time according to (HH:MM) 24 hours format and temperature in degree Celsius. The first plotclock was designed by Johannes Herberlein. When he designed it, it can write only time and cannot control with voice. This project includes concepts of designs, programs and mathematical calculations. As advantages, we can easily know the time and temperature easily by talking the commands. There is auto light on and off system. So, we can see even in the dark. This project include basic concept of plotting point to point system. It is a useful project and it can be used in reality. For example, it can be attached on the restaurants door and can write OPEN,CLOSE, time and special menus. |
