Abstract | Contact lenses are getting popular day by day. This project was done in order to find about customer requirements focusing on convenience of the blister package of the daily disposable contact lenses. Surveys were conducted to find customer requirements and technical details for conducting a Quality Function Deployment and find out the most influencing factors for the satisfaction of customers through improving the primary package (blister pack) of daily disposable contact lenses. A design for more convenient blister pack is designed using solid works with the specifications taken through the Quality Function Deployment. Improving protection of the lens and easiness to handle the blister is achieved by taking the customer ideas through the survey and with the advice of a technical engineer of a contact lens manufacturing company. From this project a new blister package with improved customer convenience and protection is designed. |
