Abstract | Pervious concrete is the special type of concrete and it has large void and high porosity than other conventional concrete. There have many researches about pervious concrete and they use various mix proportioning about aggregate, water cement ratio and cementitious materi- als to get higher strength, higher permeability and higher porosity. However, there was rarely use of mixing design method when they research pervious concrete mix proportioning. In this paper, design of experiment method (DOE) was used to find out the higher quality mix design of pervious concrete. The porosity of PC concrete will be performed according to (ASTM C1751), the perme- ability test was tested by (ASTM C1701-09) , standard test method for infiltration rate of PC. And the water absorption test for coarse aggregate and fine aggregate are carried out by ASTM testing method and the fine modulus of fine aggregate is calculated also. The main purpose of this research is the relationship between different mix design of materials and their responses, porosity test, strength test and permeability test of pervious concrete. Furthermore, the response optimizer from design of experiment method helps to find out the optimum mix proportions of pervious concrete and it can relate also the minimum cost estimation and required mix proportion according to target values of given property of the concrete. |
