AbstractWater is considered the most significant resource for human, plants and animals. It is how- ever the least regarded resource among others although it serves as one of the key elements for living. Currently quality water resources are likely to be limited. Therefore, the problem of water shortage has become more important environmental issue. Its time for us to be aware of this matter seriously and conserve water sources to create the sustainable water for world. This study assesses management and financial aspects of Bangkok water supply utility in terms of its performance of water supply utility and the water demand management practices. For the analysis general statics and financial statistics data was used for the period from 2008 to 2016. Water production, water consumption, connection details, service coverage and water tariffs are the general statistic data was used for the assessment and in terms of finance assets, liabilities revenues and expenses were used. As the first sub objective of the study, performance structure of Metropolitan Waterworks Authority was analyzed with the possible explanations for the progress and move in a retro- grade direction of the utility. Then the assessment was further developed with regards to the newly implemented good practices related to each performance indicators for a better way of service providing at the customer end. One of the main findings of the study is that, Bangkok water supplying utility is with good image and recognized in various aspects for both domestic and intemationallevels. Further- more, customers are satisfied with the customer-oriented water supplying utility. In addition, MWA appropriately managed its funds and liabilities to be in an optimal amount and could gain an upright income at the end of each year in the studying period. The maintenance with adaptation of new technology and implementation of information technology and integrated the whole system under one network helped MWA save time and money as well as establish reassurance in MWAs excellent water production and distribution. At the end the study, it concludes the implementation of good practices with respect to the achievements of Bangkok water supplying utility.
