Abstract | Highway construction zone safety has been a research focus in many countries for many decades. In the United States, regardless of research efforts devoted, highway construction zone remain a serious safety concern for government. In this study, the safety in road construction zone was examined. The results showed significant differences between demographic characteristics and sufficiency of methods which were used in the work zones and also significant difference between demographic characteristics and Improvements that can improve in the work zone for increase safety. Not only are those things this study shows what the most important safety method that can improve in the work zone. Based on the study results, target at different safety methods for road work zones are recommended in terms of construction zone safety and public education |
