Abstract | In recent years, Vietnam has been successful in expanding economic infrastructure. After the centrally planned economy changed to the market economy, Vietnam's economy has increased significantly. Transportation sector is an important component of economic infrastructure and society. So, there should be a priority for investment and development for industrialization and modernization to strengthen security defense to meet the process of economic integration and international areas. Mekong Delta with a population of 17 million people provides food for 50% of total national GDP and contributes 17% of total output value of the country. The Government has planned the traffic from 2010 to 2020 and Vision 2030 in which there is the construction of Saigon-Trung Luong Highway, high-speed lines 50 and 60, upgrading national highway and expanding the port of Can Tho, Cai Cui capacity of 20 million tons per year, the construction of Can Tho International Airport is capable of receiving Boeing 767 aircraft. Can Tho City is one of the largest centre with a population of 1,187,989 people as an economic and cultural center of the Mekong Delta region. In the process of implementing general construction projects including project of Mau Than road - Tra Noc airport, although there are many problems caused by time delays of the project, the main objective of the study in this research topic is delays in the progress of roads and bridges construction in general in order to find factors and proposed solutions to overcome, setting a system whose nature is to be perfect for the whole industry and will improve delays in the new construction project in time to promote the Mekong Delta economy for a prosperous and everlasting Vietnam. |
