AbstractIn this thesis, a verification algorithm is proposed to verify CNC program off-line as an improvement of an already existing algorithm : the sweep plane based algorithm . The algorithm consist of two parts. In the first part th~ intersection of tool cylinder with the sweep plane is calculated and then a union operation is performed. In the second part the 3D model of the final part was built using the OpenGL graphic library. An improved algorithm combining the sweeping between two CL-points and at the same time computing the union of the swept surfaces is presented. Also new in this algorithm is the generation of a solid model. Previous methods only try to get an image of the swept volume.
