Abstract | The Memorial Bridge is the oldest steel bridge that crossing over Chao Phraya River. Therefore fatigue evaluation should become necessary. Fatigue evaluation represent the lifetime of the bridge. Three types of analysis were considered in this thesis. They are cross beam analysis, truss member analysis and joint analysis. Bending stress is significant in cross beams. Axial stresses significant in truss members. Joint analysis divided to two parts. They are considered both shear stress of bolts and bearing stress of each plate. Each of these analyses ends up with comparing those values with the particular SN curve. These results from the study suggest that the Memorial Bridge may not be susceptible to fatigue load failure. |
