| Abstract | Precast Structures are perfect for creating nations that look for quick and powerful development strategies while saving the quality and execution of a structure. Be that as it may, precast structures showcase indications of shortcoming when subjected to seismic loading. The primarily happens at the precast beam-column connections which don't for plastic hinges under cyclic loading and scatter less measures of energy amid seismic vibrations. This study concentrats on the conduct of a post-tensioned beam-colomn connection with an external energy dissipative device subjected to cyclic loading. Such connection jioin the re-centering limits of post-tensioninig and the abnormal amounts of energy dispersal from external energy dissipating devices to augment auxiliary wellbeing amid a quake. The energy a gripping device. After a quake, this can be evacuated and supplanted. Test results exhibits that the post-tensioned connection has the capacity to re-center when the heap forced on it is evacuated. Rocking movement of the column was observed. Residual Displacements when the drift is 0 percent was also zero or negligible, reconfirming that the connection can recenter. The post-tensioning strand does not yield under the given load. Numerical analysis show that the presence if the sacrificial mild steel bar greatly increases the energy dissipating capacity of the post-tensioned connection.. A flagshaped hysteresis curve is observed and re-centering with minimal residual displacements is observed. It can be presumed that this sort of connection will have negligible harms and can be retrofitted rapidly and financially |
