Abstract | This report contains the cost comparison of structural elements in a conventional design school building and a seismic design school building in Sri Lanka. The analysis which needed to this research was mainly done using ETABS and the seismic load was applied according to the IS 1893:2002 and redesign for the failed structural elements against the earthquake effect was done according to the BS8110. The cost comparison between two designs was done according to the building schedule of rate in Sri Lanka. |
