AbstractThere are so many transportation facilities available in Thailand like buses, cars, bikes, tuktuks, trains and van services, etc. But people who are studying in Thammasat University and working near this place use mostly Thammasat Van Services as their means of transport to travel. There are four different routes, Victory Monument, Chatuchak Market, Future Park and Tha prachan. Each van will go to their respective routes and each route is having minimum of 25 trips. Vans will be available for every 20 minutes and cost for each route is different and is calculated by the distance and travel time. But waiting time of passengers is increased day by day due to insufficient facilities and lack of information. Due to the over flow of students and working people in Thammasat area many people use van services every day. There are peak and off-peak hours in van station. People flow will be high in peak hours and in off-peak hours people flow will be less because in peak hours people will come out of colleges and universities. Some people doesnt know the van timings and how many people were waiting at the van station for vans. People doesnt know whether they will get a seat in a van or not and drivers also dont have any kind of information that how many people were waiting at van station. The only communicating system in van services in through walkie-talkie. So, Developing a Mobile Application for Thammasat Van Station helps people as a booking app and people can reserve seats in vans as per their convenient time. In this application driver and passenger are having same application with two different sides and user should select as per their role. This application shows the information of all the van routes and van timings of Thammasat van station. This application includes maps to track the user location and geotagged the locations of the routes. Driver will get notified when there is a booking and he will get to know how many people are waiting for van at a particular time and passengers will get to know at what time driver is available. One of the main function is managing the manual and virtual queue that which is managed by driver and this shows how many people reserved seats through application and how many people came directly to the van station. This application is developed in Android Studio using Firebase as a cloud database.
