Abstract | Tourism industry in Vietnam is booming due to restructuring of economic policy, but the basic tourism infrastructure of national level as well as local level is not ready for that industry. Apart from infrastructure, especially, major weakness happens in environmental policy-no sound policy in present condition. Tourism development project in Halong bay is the first stage implementation for national tourism plan, and expect to achieve the goals. Along developing in progress of this project, water quality problem is challenging to that project. To achieve the tourism destination, it simply needs to improve the environmental quality. Proposed program for water quality problem with respect to environmental impact, in Halong bay, is feasible. It is very necessary to restructure and draw a sound tourism management plan in terms of both environmental aspect and technical aspect observing through the weakness of present tourism industry to provide development of tourism industry. Finally, it is essential to define some suggestions for management and technical aspects in order to achieve the expected results for upgrading the environmental quality in Halong Bay. |
